Specialty Boxing and Fitness Programs

Knockout offers the Down to Box Program for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Instructed by Jonathan Gainey and Lauren Camp-Gates, the program is high energy, structured and extremely fun!
We also offer  Ability Boxing program that is a great option for those with Parkinson’s, Amputees, or other physically disabilities. Founded by Stephanie Mendez OT, Elena Doherty PT  and Jonathan Gainey the program checks all the boxes in terms of safety, effectiveness functionality, and accreditation. With a boxing base and adaptive movements the program develops balance, strength and conditioning in a safe and fun environment.

ABILITY BOXING

Ability Boxing is a fitness & boxing program for all abilities! 

Classes are designed and created by licensed individuals with medical & fitness backgrounds. Each session is sixty minutes long and include a mixture of non-contact boxing which also include heavy bag and mitt work. Our ability boxing classes will follow the “HIIT” or Hight Intensity Interval Training structure. There will also be light to moderate weight training, balance training, cognitive training, core control and much more worked into each class.

Currently, we are offing “Parkinson’s Boxing” at our middletown gym Monday’s, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:30am-12:30pm.
